In conjunction with Independence Day celebrations, a fireworks display was held at Mitchell's Point Marina on 07/02/2026, while paramotoring activities took place on Smith Mountain Lake at The Pointe at Mariners Landing. Companies 7, 10, and 11 provided fire standby duty for both events. The Pointe at Mariners Landing offered an excellent vantage point for viewing the paramotoring and fireworks, and boaters enjoyed the spectacle.
