Independence Day Fireworks Celebration

In conjunction with Independence Day celebrations, a fireworks display was held at Mitchell's Point Marina on 07/02/2026, while paramotoring activities took place on Smith Mountain Lake at The Pointe at Mariners Landing. Vehicle Fire

On 07/02/2026 at 5:44 PM, Company 10 (second due) responded to a reported vehicle fire on Hendricks Store Rd, Moneta. A commercial truck carrying appliances was involved. Medic 148 assumed command while Company 10 and Company 8 extinguished the fire and conducted mop-up operations before clearing the scene.
